HPMS OSM ACL Enhancements
OSM Service Connection (T0682H02^ACJ) adds support for:
• Integrity NonStop NB54000 BladeSystems.
• Controlling user privileges for performing OSM actions through the new Access Control List
feature in the OSM Service Connection.

Maintenance Entity Firmware Downgrade Protection Functionality
The maintenance entity (ME) firmware has always provided protection against potentially harmful
downgrades. Beginning with the T4805A01^AAN SPR this protection is enhanced to prevent all
downgrades. This enhancement significantly reduces re-discovery of known problems. ME firmware
is designed to be fully backward compatible, therefore it is never necessary, nor recommended,
to downgrade ME firmware.
Migration Considerations
None.
Fallback Considerations
When you fall back an RVU, it is not necessary to fall back to the previous T4805 ME firmware,
and from J06.11 forward, T4805 ME firmware cannot be downgraded without service provider
assistance.
Safeguard V4R11 Enhancements
Safeguard includes these enhancements:
• The PASSWORD-UPPERCASE-REQUIRED, PASSWORD-LOWERCASE-REQUIRED,
PASSWORD-NUMERIC-REQUIRED, and PASSWORD-SPECIALCHAR-REQUIRED attributes can
now be used with DES encryption as well.
• The PASSWORD-ALPHA-REQUIRED attribute can be used to generate alphabetic character(s)
in a user password.
• The following new password attributes allow the user to specify a numeric value for each
attribute to achieve the required password complexity:

◦ PASSWORD-MIN-LOWERCASE-REQUIRED
◦ PASSWORD-MIN-NUMERIC-REQUIRED
◦ PASSWORD-MIN-SPECIALCHAR-REQUIRED
◦ PASSWORD-MIN-ALPHA-REQUIRED
• A new Safeguard security group SECURITY-PRIVILEGE-ADMINISTRATOR (SPA) has been
introduced in this release. Members of this security group are granted additional security
