Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Partitioning
Disk partitioning is now supported on (HDDs) that connect to DL380 G6 Storage CLIMs. HDD
partitioning is enabled on a per-HDD basis.
Disk partitioning requires the J06.12 or later J-series RVU.

for the Storage Subsystem.

Fallback Considerations
See the planning guide for your system for information about the CLIMs and storage devices. Disk
partitioning requires the J06.12 or later J-series RVU. If you must fall back to an earlier RVU, you
cannot partition HDDs.
Blade ServerNet and BladeCluster ServerNet Switches
The Blade ServerNet and BladeCluster ServerNet switches with Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable
(QSFP) transceivers are now compliant with Network Equipment-Building System (NEBS) standards.
The Blade ServerNet and BladeCluster ServerNet switches are housed in the HP c7000 enclosure
of HP Integrity NonStop BladeSystem Carrier Grade systems. Two Blade ServerNet switches and
a BladeCluster ServerNet switch are supported:
• Blade ServerNet switch with standard I/O
• Blade ServerNet switch with high I/O
• Blade Cluster ServerNet switch

HP c7000 Enclosure Carrier Grade (CG)
The next generation c7000 CG enclosure is now available. This enclosure is similar to the current
c7000 CG enclosure and provides integrated processing, power, and cooling capabilities along
with connections to the I/O infrastructure and ServerNet connectivity via the ServerNet switches.

Advanced Cluster Hub (ACH) Carrier Grade (CG)
The ACH CG is now compliant with Network Equipment-Building System (NEBS) standards. An
ACH CG provides simplified cable management for carrier grade systems connected in a
BladeCluster topology. For more information, refer to the BladeCluster Solution Manual.
