TCM Enhancements
Tandem Capacity Model (TCM) is a workstation-based capacity planning tool for NonStop systems
that estimates future system requirements and performance from current data. TCM uses data
collected by Measure on HP NonStop host systems to estimate the amount of hardware required
to meet current and projected business needs. MeasTCM is the NonStop host-based component
of TCM that provides the interface between Measure data on the HP NonStop system and the
workstation-based capacity planning tool TCM.
Starting with SPR T6945H01^AAX, TCM supports Microsoft Excel 2007 in addition to Microsoft
Excel 2003.
MeasTCM and TCM are enhanced to include these new features:
Support of new CPU types including multi-core CPUs
Support of the CLIM-attach option for disks
Support of SAS Disks
Support of HP XP Disks
Support of the Write Cache Enable (WCE) attribute for SAS disks
Support of OSS processes
Support of all released TS/MP versions
Ability to collect and model SQL/MP and SQL/MX activity by transaction
Support of Multiple Auxiliary TMF Audit Trails
Support of new Measure file formats in MeasTCM
Support of Microsoft Excel 2007
Support of x86 and x64 versions of Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Vista Operating
Systems
Migration Considerations
Support for old K-series processors is removed.
Support for old C-series and D-series Measure versions is removed.
If the Measure data file contains HP XP disk (subtype 52) data, DISKCONVERTTO SAS disk
type is required.
Fallback Considerations
None.
XYGATE Merged Audit (XMA)
This release includes a number of enhancements to the XYGATE Merged Audit (XMA) product.
NonStop SSH events are now supported, as is the OSS su command. Additionally, IPv6 addresses
are now supported in the audit trails managed by Merged Audit. For details on NonStop SSH
events, see the SSH Reference Manual. The su command audits its activity to EMS, all of which
is now parsed and processed by XMA.
