J06.14 Release Version Update Compendium

Migration Considerations
Database changes support IPv6 format addresses. A database conversion program is supplied
with this release and must be run after the upgrade to assure that IP addresses of historical events
are available in the reports.
Fallback Considerations
None.
NonStop SSH
As of RVU J06.14, the following enhancements for IPv6 support are included with NonStop SSH:
Added SSH2 parameter IPMODE with values IPv4, IPv6, and DUAL
Added support for IPv6 addresses used in entities KNOWNHOST, PASSWORD, and USER
Modified SSHCOM ADD/ALTER commands for KNOWNHOST, PASSWORD, and USER
entities to support IPV6 addresses
Modified SSHCOM INFO/STATUS output for fields that may contain IPv6 addresses
Modified SSH[OSS] and SFTP[OSS] clients to support IPV6 addresses
Added support for IPv6 addresses as INTERFACE and INTERFACEOUT parameter values
For information about other enhancements, see the SSH Reference Manual.
Migration Considerations
To implement IPv6 functionality, customers must set the SSH2 parameter IPMODE to IPv6 or DUAL,
otherwise the default mode for applications is IPv4. Applications that do not migrate to IPv6 are
not impacted.
Fallback Considerations
Several fallback considerations exist when falling back to a pre-J06.14 RVU. For more information,
see the SSH Reference Manual.
