J06.14 Release Version Update Compendium

Safeguard
The new attribute OWNER-LIST is added to group records to allow read, alter, and delete actions
for group records for users other than the record's owner, the record's owner group manager, and
SUPER ID.
A new Safeguard password global configuration attribute PASSWORD-ERROR-DETAIL is added
to display the detailed error message when the password specified does not meet the minimum
complexity requirements.
A new option COMPARE is added to the INFO SAFEGUARD command to display a comparison
between current Safeguard global settings with the default settings.
Migration Considerations
If the user migrates from pre-J06.14 to J06.14, then the following message is displayed in the
SAFECOM INFO GROUP <GROUPNAME>, DETAIL COMMAND:
GROUP OWNER-LIST SECTION UNDEFINED!
A new secondary record is generated for add, alter, and info group commands.
The attribute PASSWORD-ERROR-DETAIL is set to OFF and default error message is displayed. To
view the detailed error message, the attribute must be explicitly set to ON.
Fallback Considerations
If the user added the owner list record for the group in J06.14 and then falls back to pre-J06.14,
the owner list record for that group remains in the Safeguard database files. However the older
versions of Safeguard cannot understand this functionality and hence ignored. If Safeguard is
updated to a version supporting OWNER-LIST feature, then the group OWNER-LIST comes into
effect.
If PASSWORD-ERROR-DETAIL is enabled in J06.14 and then falls back to pre-J06.14, then the
setting for this attribute will be available in Safeguard database files. However the older versions
of Safeguard cannot understand this functionality and hence ignored. If Safeguard is updated to
a version supporting PASSWORD-ERROR-DETAIL feature, then the attribute comes into effect.
FUP Nativization
As part of RVU J06.14, Native object of FUP is released (T6553H02).
Functionality and behavior of all FUP commands remain unchanged.
CPU utilization of FUP object may be lower compared to non-native FUP object.
There may not be any noticeable reduction in the execution time of FUP commands.
Native FUP object is applicable on all J RVUs.
Migration Considerations
None.
Fallback Considerations
None.
In case of FUP product fallback, replace T6553H02 with T6553H01^ADC. T6553H01^ADC was
released as part of the RVU J06.13. T6553H01^ADC is available on SCOUT. A SYSGEN is not
required to install T6553H01^ADC.
