HP c7000 Enclosure Updates
The next generation c7000 and CG c7000 enclosures are supported on J06.16 and later J-series
RVUs. For more information, see the NonStop BladeSystem Planning Guide.
HP Integrity NonStop BladeSystems NB56000c and NB56000c-cg
J06.16 introduces the HP Integrity NonStop BladeSystems NB56000c and NB56000c-cg. For
migration considerations, including core licensing, see the J06.16 Release Version Update
Compendium. For general information about migrating a NB50000c or NB54000c to an
NB56000c or a NB50000c-cg or NB54000c-cg to an NB56000c-cg and other system information,
see the NonStop BladeSystem Planning Guide. For detailed migration information and assistance,
contact your HP authorized service provider.
If you upgrade a BladeSystem from a pre-J06.13 RVU to J06.13 or later on NB54000c or
NB54000c-cg or to J06.16 or later on NB56000c or NB56000c-cg, you must obtain and use the
CLICVAL tool as described in “For NonStop BladeSystems NB54000c, NB54000c-cg, NB56000c,
and NB56000c-cg, Ensure the Core License File is Ready for Migration” (page 59).
HP-UX ODBC/MX Client Driver
This new ODBC/MX driver operates on the HP-UX Itanium 64-bit platform with operating system
HP-UX 11.31. The driver is used for database applications coded in C++ that run on the HP-UX
platform and can be used with SQL/MX Release 3.2.1 or later.

NonStop SOAP 4.2
This program releases a newer version of XML parsers that is based on the Xerces C++ version
3.1.1 released previously. For more information, see “Re-deploy NonStop SOAP 4” (page 112)
and the NonStop SOAP 4.1 User’s Guide.
OSM Enhancements
J06.16 introduces enhancements to the OSM Service Connection, OSM Low-Level Link, and
NonStop Mainteance LAN DHCP DNS Configuration Wizard. For more information, see the

Open System Services (OSS) Enhancements
For J06.16, the OSS Core Utilities product introduces several new features. For more information,
see the J06.16 Release Version Update Compendium and the Open System Services Management
and Operations Guide.
Safeguard V5R2 Enhancements
For J06.16, Safeguard V5R2 provides these enhancements:
• A new, optional security administrator group to support a more flexible security model for
persistent process management
• Changes to the user auditing attribute AUDIT-USER-ACTION-FLAGS.
• Use of IP addresses in requests sent to a configured authentication Security Event Exit Process
(SEEP)
• Configuring to require confirmation of a SAFECOM STOP command
