NonStop Firmware Matrices
NonStop Firmware Levels Delivered on the SUT By Release
CAUTION: Authorized service providers should check the firmware levels on any replacement
spares. The firmware on a replacement spare should be upgraded or downgraded as necessary
to the level listed in this table.
For firmware file names, firmware file descriptions, and procedures to update the firmware
components listed in this section, see the Software Installation and Upgrade Guide for your RVU.
For the compatibility of T0853 CLIM DVDs with NonStop RVUs, see the CLuster I/O Module (CLIM)
Software Compatibility Reference.
Baseboard management controller (BMC), DISKBOOT, halted-state services (HSS), ISP1040,
PAL/SAL, and primitive state firmware are delivered differently for different systems:
• NS14x00/NS16x00: BMC, DISKBOOT, HSS, ISP1040, PAL/SAL, and primitive state firmware
are delivered on the H-series SUT.
• NS1000 - NS5000 (excluding NS2100 and NS2200 where the HSS is delivered on the H/J
Series NSC DVD): HSS, DISKBOOT and ISP1040 firmware are delivered as part of the HSS
T8004 Boot CD and cannot be updated independently.
• NB50000c/c-cg, NB54000c/c-cg, NS2100, and NS2200/T/ST: HSS, DISKBOOT and
ISP1040 firmware are delivered as part of HSS T8004 on the NSC Installer DVD and cannot
be updated independently.
Although the first section in this chapter is always created new for the most recent RVU, only some
entries will have change bars. Change bars indicate only new firmware or changed firmware
since the previous RVU.
