Replacing an S7000 Power Cord
This procedure assumes that the existing power cord is still functioning normally but
must be replaced due to damage.
No system shutdown is required when replacing one S7000 power cord if you observe
the following cautions.
Caution: To avoid a possible outage:
Prepare to insert the replacement cord quickly (within seconds of removing the
old one):
Unpack and inspect the replacement power cord. If the replacement power
cord is damaged, you need to order another one before continuing with this
procedure.
Keep the replacement cord within close reach during the procedure.
Use the OSM Service Connection or TSM Service Application to verify that there
are no alarms that might indicate a problem with either of the following:
The battery associated with the affected PMF CRU
The other PMF CRU
To replace a power cord:
1 Position the replacement power cord next to the existing one with the plugs
close to their receptacles.
2 Use a short Phillips screwdriver to loosen the power cord retainer screw. See

Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.
4 Pull the power cord out of the power cord receptacle. See figure, NonStop

5 Insert the replacement power cord into the power cord receptacle on the PMF
CRU. See figure, NonStop S7000 PMF CRU Power Cord.
6 Plug the replacement cord into the AC outlet.
7 Using a short Phillips screwdriver, tighten the power cord retainer screw to
secure the replacement power cord in the power cord receptacle. See figure,
