Application: CRUs or FRUs Are Missing
Symptom
Customer-replaceable units (CRUs) such as batteries and fans and
field-replaceable units (FRUs) such as ServerNet/FX adapters sometimes
do not appear in the OSM Service Connection or the TSM Service
Application views.
Version
All.
Problem
Could be one of the following:
The window is not refreshing properly.
OSM or TSM is not receiving events from the service processor (SP).
SNMP messages are being lost, affecting the discovery process (for
servers using SNMP client/server protocol).
An SNMP trap error is occurring (for servers using SNMP
client/server protocol).
There is a problem with the TSM server software.
Fix
For OSM:
Please contact the GCSC if CRUs or FRUs appear to be missing in the
OSM Service Connection.
For TSM on G06.04 and later RVUs:
Please contact the GCSC if CRUs or FRUs appear to be missing in the
TSM Service Application.
For TSM on G06.03 and earlier RVUs:
To correct the problem, perform each step below until the problem has
been corrected. The order is based on the degree of likelihood as well as
the ease of the recovery procedure.
