ServerNet/DA Troubleshooting

If the test fails, the ServerNet/DA is defective;
use the guided procedure to replace the
ServerNet/DA.

If the test passes, the PIC is defective; replace
the PIC. See the Replacing or Installing
ServerNet Adapter Plug-In Cards (PICs)
procedure.

If the ServerNet/DA icon looks normal in the view pane, check whether all its SACs
are displayed and then do the following:

Not all the SACs are displayed.
Check the status of the $ZZSTO
process. $ZZSTO must be running.
If $ZZSTO is not running, start it
now.
If $ZZSTO is running, a SAC that is
not displayed is defective. Replace
the PIC whose SAC is not
displayed. See the Replacing or
Installing ServerNet Adapter
Plug-In Cards (PICs) procedure.
The ServerNet/DA icon turns red or yellow. Return to Step 5.
Perform tests on the ServerNet/DA or on an individual SAC using the OSM Service
Connection or TSM Service Application as indicated in the following table. Click on
the component (ServerNet/DA or SAC) you want to test. Use the associated online
help for information about the available tests. Perform these tests in the order shown.
If any test fails, follow the recommended recovery procedure for that test.
Test Procedure
1. Test Verify (online test for
a ServerNet/DA)
(OSM or TSM)
Run Test Verify for the ServerNet/DA.
If this test fails, either the ServerNet/DA or
ServerNet communication with the ServerNet/DA
is failing.
Use the guided procedure to replace the
ServerNet/DA.

Rerun this test.
If this test fails again, the ServerNet
communication with the ServerNet/DA
is failing.

If this test passes, the ServerNet
communication with the ServerNet/DA
is working.
