ServerNet/DA Troubleshooting

2. Responsive Test (online
test for a SAC)
(OSM or TSM)
Run Responsive Test for the SAC.
If this test fails, either the SAC is faulty, or the
connection between the SAC and the CBB is bad.
Replace the PIC. See the Replacing or
Installing ServerNet Adapter Plug-In Cards
(PICs) procedure.
1.
Rerun this test. 2.
If this test fails again, the problem is
with the CBB. Use the guided procedure
to replace the ServerNet/DA.
3. Test Verify (online test for
a SAC)
(OSM or TSM for fiber SAC
only)
Run Test Verify for the SAC.
If this test fails, the SAC is defective. Replace the
PIC. See the Replacing or Installing ServerNet
Adapter Plug-In Cards (PICs) procedure.
4. Test Extended (offline test
for a SAC)
(TSM for fiber SAC only)
This test should be run only on a SAC that is
offline. (If any active disk path is using this SAC,
either switch the path to another available SAC,
or stop the device before continuing with this
test.)
Run Test Extended on the SAC.
If the test fails, the SAC is probably defective.
Replace the PIC. See the Replacing or Installing
ServerNet Adapter Plug-In Cards (PICs)
procedure.
If all these tests pass, the problem is probably with the fiber-optic cable, BEB, or
external disk drive. See to the documentation for the disk module for further
troubleshooting information.
