Symptom
The firmware updates or the resets that follow never finish. (The
completion dialog box is never received.) You wish to retry the
firmware update action. On the Firmware Update dialog box, the
X-side or Y-side selection option is dimmed (not available).

Problem
Once the firmware update or reset action has started, the X-side or
Y-side selection option is disabled until the action has successfully
finished for all SPs on the selected side.
Fix
Log off the OSM Service Connection or the TSM Service Application
and log on again. In the Firmware Update dialog box, the X-side or
Y-side selection option is now available.

Symptom
You do not seem to be receiving status updates from the OSM
Service Connection or the TSM Service Application.
Problem
The service connection might have been lost.
Fix
Verify the state of the service connection by using a Session
Responsive Test. If the Session Responsive Test fails, do one of the
following:
Wait one minute, then retry the test.●
Log off your present connection, then log on to a new service
connection.
●
Be aware that some SP firmware update actions can take several
minutes.
