Troubleshooting the SLSA Subsystem
2 Alter the firmware file for each SAC.
Use the SCF ALTER SAC command:
ALTER SAC $ZZLAN.<adapter>.<sac>,
FIRMWAREFILENAME $SYSTEM.SYS<nn>.<file>
The firmware file name for the different types of adapters are as follows:
For the ATM3SA, the file name is C8158R00●
For the CCSA, the file name is C0309R00●
For the E4SA, the file name is C7824R00●
For the FESA, the file name is C0283R00●
For the GESA, the file name is C0506R00●
For the TRSA, the file name is C0232R00●
3 Restart the SAC and its subordinate PIFs.
Use the SCF START SAC command with the SUB ALL option:
START SAC $ZZLAN.<adapter>.<sac>, SUB ALL
Updating the Firmware Using the OSM Service Connection or the TSM Service
Application
Note: You must shut down any active communications lines using the SAC and stop the
SAC before updating its firmware using OSM or TSM. In the case of the ATM3SA, you
update the firmware on the ADAPTER object instead of the SAC object. For more
information, see Preparing a SAC for the Test Verify Test Action or Firmware Update.
To update the firmware using the OSM Service Connection, see the OSM online help.
To update the firmware using the TSM Service Application, see the TSM online help.
