Troubleshooting the SLSA Subsystem
Correcting SLSA Adapter Hardware Problems
Note: The following instructions are applicable to the OSM package or the G06.02 and
later versions of the TSM package.
If a test action fails, an error ID is returned. From the Actions dialog box, click Show detail
to display a brief explanation of the error. For more detailed information on how to recover
from a specific error, click the error ID in the following table.

Error ID 6000002
This error is returned when a test action fails because a prerequisite has not been met. To
recover from this error, make sure that all prerequisites are met and then retry the test
action. Prerequisites include:
For the Firmware Update and Test Verify test actions, make sure that the SAC is
stopped.
●
For the SAC Responsive Test test action, make sure that the SAC is started (or at
least attempt to start the SAC).
●
For the Test Verify test action for a Common Communication ServerNet adapter
(CCSA) CRU, make sure that at least one plug-in card (PIC) is installed.
●
If the test action still fails after all prerequisites are met, there might be a hardware problem.
If the error is generated for a SAC on an E4SA, FESA, GESA, or TRSA, or for an ATM3SA,
you must replace the adapter. For replacement instructions, see:
ATM3SA: Replacing an ATM3SA CRU procedure●
E4SA: Replacing an E4SA CRU procedure●
FESA: Fast Ethernet Adapter Installation and Support Guide●
GESA: Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Installation and Support Guide●
TRSA: Replacing a TRSA CRU procedure●
If the error is generated for a SAC on a CCSA CRU, you must replace the PIC on which the
SAC is located. For information about replacing a PIC, see Replacing or Installing
