Hardware Requirements
Supported HP Integrity Server Platforms:
One instance of HP-UX supports a maximum of 8 HCAs regardless of the platform or expander. This is a
software limit. No system will support more than 8 HCAs. If more than 8 HCAs are plugged into a system
(even with an expander), only 8 will be claimed.
Operating System Requirements
HP Fabric Clustering System is only supported on HP-UX 11i Version 2 (B.11.23).
Patch Requirements
HP Fabric Clustering System requires VM patch PHKL_30614. Without this patch, HPMC memory leak
might occur.
Internet Protocol over InfiniBand (IPoIB)
In order to use the Internet Protocol over InfiniBand (IPoIB) the following patches need to be installed on
each server used for IPoIB in the HP Fabric Clustering System:
• DLPI patch, PHNE_30242
• SAM patch, PHCO_29666
• NetTL patch, PHNE_30451
• TOUR product bundle (A.02.00 Transport Optional Upgrade Release for B.11.23)
NOTE IP Filter is not required for IPoIB functionality, but if IP Filter is present, it should be
upgraded to either IP Filter product version A.03.05.09 or A.03.05.06.V2.
Availability in Native Languages
The HP Fabric Clustering System is currently available in English only.
