Performance specications
The PCI-X 2.0 4Gb FC adapters are 4-Gb, high-performance direct memory access (DMA) bus master
HBAs designed for high-end systems.
The AB379B is the newest model, with a different application-specic integrated circuit (ASIC) from
the AB379A.
These HBAs ha
ve the following features:
Combine a powerful reduced instruction set computing (RISC) processor, a Fibre Channel protocol
manager (FPM) with 4Gb Fibre Channel transceivers, and a peripheral component interconnect
(PCI) or peripheral component interconnect-extended (PCI-X) local bus interface in a single-chip
solution
Support Fabric Loop Attach (FLA) connections
Support bus master DMA
Supports S
CSI-3 Fibre Channel Protocol (SCSI-FCP), and Fibre Channel-Virtual Interface (FC-VI)
protocols
Support point-to-point fabric connection (F-PORT FABRIC LOGIN)
