Introduction This supplemental guide describes using the HP NetRAID-2M (product number P7749A) dual channel, Ultra160 accessory with a 128 MB cache configuration with Intel® Itanium™ Processor Family HP Servers using 64-bit Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003. This supplement is in addition to the information found in the HP NetRAID-1M and NetRAID-2M Installation and Configuration Guide that ships with your HP NetRAID-2M product.
Available EFI Utilities EFI shell utilities specific to the NetRAID-2M are included in the HP Smart Setup DVD under \efi\io_cards\netraid directory and may be executed from the EFI Shell command line. The utilities are: • HPCTRM.efi. This is a menu-based RAID Configuration utility. Most of the functionality and "look-and-feel" is the same as the - NetRAID Express Tools utility for IA-32 systems.
1. Power on the server and insert the HP Smart Setup DVD into the DVD drive. If the server boots to the HP Smart Setup DVD main menu, skip to step 3. If the server boots to the EFI Boot Manager menu, select Bootable DVD, if available, and skip to step 3. 7. When the Maintain Firmware screen is displayed, compare the HP NetRAID-2M card’s firmware version that you made a note of against the Version on the DVD column. You may run the setup program from any network connected PC running Windows (NT4.0 or 2000).
