setupldr.efi) application to the ESP partition,
configuring the winnt.sif file, specifying the
Windows Setup boot option, and rebooting the server.
• The utilities directory contains the following files:
-allboards.xml: The allboards.xml PCI device list file is used by the
hwquery and ifhw utilities to convert PCI IDs found in
hardware discovery into device names.
-conrep: The configuration replication utility reads EFI variables
from the model server and records it in the conrep.dat
file.
-conrep.xml: The conrep.xml file includes a list of EFI variables which
determines what data to retrieve from the server. You
can edit this file to control the data collection.
-cpqacuxe: The array configuration utility operates in two modes:
in the capture mode, it reads the configuration of a storage
array controller and records it in a configuration file; in
the input mode, it writes the configuration to the target
server. This archive is extracted to /sbin/cpqacuxe
and a structure under /opt/compaq/cpqacuxe.
-efi\modeset.efi: The modeset.efi utility sets the acpi flag to the
appropriate mode. The utility is only used in EFI shell.
-efibootmgr: The EFI boot manager utility loads EFI applications (such
as the OS boot loader) and EFI drivers. The EFI boot
manager allows you to control the server's boot
environment using variables stored in NVRAM.
-gen-setupldr-options: The gen-setupldr-options utility generates options for
the setup loader, which launches the Windows
installation process.
-hpia64info: The hpia64info utility displays information about
Management Processor and system firmware.
-hwdisc: The hardware discovery utility creates an inventory of
the server and writes this data to a file.
-hpqlarep: The hpqlarep utility enables or disables the EFI boot
setting on QLogic 2G or 4G HBAs..
-hwquery: The hardware query utility reads the file created by the
hardware discovery utility and provides this data in a
usable form.
-ifhw: The if hardware utility makes user process decisions
based on data from the file created by the hardware
discovery utility.
-parted: The parted utility creates, destroys, resizes, checks, and
copies partitions.
-setacpi: The setacpi utility sets the acpi mode, adds a new EFI
menu entry to guarantee that the SSTK restarts
automatically after the reboot, and then reboots the
system.
Upload the OS installation files
To install an OS on the target servers, the OS installation files copied from the Microsoft RTM
CDs to the repository must be accessible to the SSTK. The installation files of all supported OS
editions can be hosted in the repository, and scripts can be used to install the appropriate OS to
