Web Browser
The browser-based interface to the HP Smart Setup and Smart Update CDs requires Internet Explorer
version 5.1 or higher. The latest version of Internet Explorer is available from the Microsoft download
site at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx.
NCU
In Windows Solution 7.1, NCU only supports upgrades from Release 7.0 as follows:
• Upgrade to 7.1 with the SSM CD.
• Update to NCU in 7.1 with the NCU smart component.
You cannot upgrade directly from releases prior to 7.0 to 7.1 . For example, you cannot upgrade
directly from Release 6.5 to 7.1.
OneCommand
To configure Emulex Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs), the HBAnywhere utility is replaced
by the Emulex OneCommand application. The latest version of the OneCommand Manager
Application Kit is available from http://www.hp.com. Navigate to the Download drivers and
software page for your server and scroll down to the Utility – FC HBA section.
Utility Meter
Pay Per Use (PPU) 7.1 software requires Utility Meter software version 7.3 or higher.
