Recovering from a missing reboot message when
running on SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9
Running HP Smart Update Manager on SUSE LINUX Enterprise
Server 9
You can specify a reboot message that appears before a server reboots after a successful installation of
firmware or software. However, when running HP SUM on SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9, the reboot
message does not appear because there is no access to the console when using SUSE LINUX Enterprise
Server 9. This error is not unique to HP SUM, and it is an operating system limitation.
NOTE: HP SUM is no longer supported on SUSE Enterprise Linux 9.
