3 Pedestal to Rack Conversion
Follow this procedure to convert your tower system to a rack system.
1. Power down the server and remove all cables.
2. Remove the pedestal kit feet.
3. Remove the pedestal kit side components.
4. Remove the bezel cover.
5. Remove the pedestal kit bottom and top components
6. Install the server into the rack.
Required Tools
The tool required for disassembling the pedestal kit is:
• Standard (flat head) screwdriver

Powering Down the Server and Removing Cables
Instructions for powering down the server, including removing cables, are located in the server
users' guide.
Removing the Pedestal Kit Feet
CAUTION: The server is able to sit in a vertical orientation without the feet installed, but may
tip easily.
Remove the pedestal kit feet by pulling the feet outward. See Figure 3-1
