Removing the Pedestal Top and Bottom

Follow these steps to remove the pedestal top and bottom components.

1. With the server still in a vertical orientation, look from the right side of the server (server

bottom) to locate the lock release slot.

2. Insert a regular (flat head) screwdriver into the lock release slot. See Figure 3-4.

3. Pull back on the pedestal component.

4. Once the pedestal component has moved about 1/4 inch, the lock will release, and the

screwdriver can be removed.

5. Pull the component away from the server.
