About This Document This document describes the Windows System Log Event ID number, severity, and description of events generated by the Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) providers on HP Integrity servers running Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 and Windows® Server 2008. 1 WBEM Provider Event Tables Introduction This reference guide describes the Windows System Log Event ID number, severity, and description of events generated by HP Integrity WBEM provider software. The WBEM providers are a group of services that run continuously in the background on HP Integrity servers and report the status of system components. Each WBEM provider has its own unique table in this document.
Event ID 6 8 9 10 12 26 113 518 8 Event Severity Event Description Error Temperature sensor crossed upper non-recoverable threshold. Probable Cause: The temperature inside the server has gone far outside the factory specified range for normal operation. To avoid permanent damage to your server hardware, go and turn off the server immediately.
Event ID 699 700 704 705 706 707 710 720 722 Event Severity Event Description Error Machine Check Initiated. Probable Cause: A Machine Check Abort event means the hardware detected a critical error. This event is generated whenever a system error due to processor, firmware, hardware and operating system is encountered. MCA events may be either recoverable or non-recoverable. If it is recoverable, the system will attempt to recover from the error for the purpose of maintaining high availability.

Probable Cause: Indicates a failure with the AC power source that is connected to one of the redundant power supply units. Recommended Action: Check the power cord or source voltage. Probable Cause: Decode the ASCII string in the data field to determine what resource is missing.

WBEM ProviderName: FPL_IndicationProvider Error Could not find an adjacent XBC due to broken fabric links. Probable Cause: Possible crossbar failure Recommended Action: Contact HP Support personnel to analyze the crossbar. WBEM EventID: 727.

Event ID Error Attempt to update the PD PDT with OLA Cell failed. Probable Cause: Unable to add OLA cell's PDT to the partition PDT. Error accessing PDH space. Check fabric connection between OLA cell and core cell. Recommended Action: Gather IPMI event logs and contact HP Support. WBEM EventID: 6959. WBEM ProviderName: FPL_IndicationProvider Warning Attempt to update the cell map to include the OLA Cell failed. Probable Cause: Unable to write registers on the CC. Check cell board and system fabric.

Event ID Error Firmware was unable to find a suitable block of main memory to relocate ROM. Probable Cause: Probably caused by lots of PDT entries, or no main memory present. WBEM EventID: 1036. WBEM ProviderName: FPL_IndicationProvider Warning Cell started OLA but is not configured in the complex profile of the partition. Probable Cause: Cell was issued an OLA command without first updating the complex profile to reflect its slot as configured in the partition.
Event ID Event Severity Event Description Warning Firmware could not set Pal Proc features. Probable Cause: FW MCA code uses this PAL_SET_PROC_FEATURES to escalate future MCA to BINIT. This event id when emitted during an MCA processing means that any subsequent global MCA would not cause all the processors in the PD to MCA again. WBEM EventID: 2443. WBEM ProviderName: FPL_IndicationProvider Warning Means that the error log space in the Nvram has not been allocated.
Event ID Warning The System Flash Write Enable bit is incorrectly set and now clearing by PDC. Probable Cause: The System Flash Write Enable bit is incorrectly set by hardware and now cleared by PDC. Recommended Action: If this chassis code occurs in every boot then contact HP Support personnel to troubleshoot the problem. WBEM EventID: 1764. WBEM ProviderName: FPL_IndicationProvider Error Firmware encountered a problem trying to initialize.

Event ID Warning Cell/Partition to be reset because PDC couldn't read PDH memory. Probable Cause: Cell hardware problem like PDH memory itself, the CC chip, the executing CPU or interaction between any of these cell components. Recommended Action: Troubleshoot the cell and either fix it or replace it. WBEM EventID: 897. WBEM ProviderName: FPL_IndicationProvider Warning Cell/Partition to be reset because PDC couldn't read PDH memory.
