SmartSetup Scripting Toolkit Deployment Guide for HP Integrity Servers with Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 for Itanium-based Systems

hwdisc.dat The hwdiscovery output file that
contains a system inventory to be used
with the ifhw and hwquery utilities.
hba-qlogic.ini The hpqlarep configuration file, used
to enable or disable boot devices on
QLogic host bus adapters (HBAs).

logs
This folder stores log files that are created
during SSTK execution. Use the log files
to monitor the deployment process and
to troubleshoot any problems.
drivers
Contains PnP drivers for Windows 2003 installation. These drivers are not
distributed with the toolkit. Therefore, you must populate the subfolders using
the Integrity Support Pack (ISP) drivers as described in “Uploading OEM device
drivers” (page 28).
os
Contains Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP2 and Windows Server 2008
installation files and their respective answer files (unattended.txt for
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP2 and unattend.xml for Windows Server
2008) for unattended installations. See “Uploading the Windows installation
files” (page 26).
scripts
Contains the following SSTK Windows configuration and installation scripts
that control SSTK execution, run the utilities, and deploy Windows:
SSTKStart, SSTKConfig
Initializes the SSTK deployment process,
sharing the repository and setting up
environment variables, such as SSTK
default_action. You must edit these
scripts before initiating deployment. See
“Editing the SSTKStart.cmd file”
(page 17), “Editing the SSTKConfig.cmd
file” (page 30) (Windows Server 2003),
and “Editing the SSTKConfig.cmd file”
(page 32) (Windows Server 2008),
respectively.
SSTKMain
Controls the SSTK execution depending
on the configured action.
ReadHWConf
Called if the configured action is
readhwconf. It calls hwdiscovery,
conrep, hpqlarep, hplpcfg, and
hpacubin. See “readhwconf action”
(page 23).
ApplyHWConf
Called if the configured action is
applyhwconf. It calls conrep,
hpqlarep, hplpcfg, and hpacubin.
See “applyhwconf action” (page 24).
DeployWS2003.cmd
Performs Windows 2003 installation. See
“deploy action” (page 26).
DeployWS2008.cmd
Performs Windows 2008 installation. See
“deploy action” (page 26).
CheckESP.cmd
Tests if there is more than one ESP
partition on the system.
