3 Uninstalling SNMP-Based HP Insight Management Agents
This section provides instructions for uninstalling the SNMP-based HP Insight Management
Agents.
Uninstalling HP Insight Management Agents on a single local server
To uninstall HP Insight Management Agents on a single local server:
1. Open the Windows® Add or Remove Programs interface (Windows Server 2003) or the
Windows® Programs and Features interface (Windows Server 2008).
2. Select HP Insight Management Agents.
3. Click change/remove (Windows Server 2003), or right-click and select Uninstall (Windows
Server 2008).
4. At the prompt, click yes to confirm the removal of HP Insight Management Agents from
the system.
If the HP System Management Homepage is active in a browser window, close and reopen it to
ensure that it reflects the change.
Uninstalling HP Insight Management Agents on a single remote server
To uninstall HP Insight Management Agents on a single remote server:
1. Connect to the remote system:
• From a Microsoft® Windows® 2000 system, use the Terminal Services Client to connect
to the remote system.
• From a Microsoft® Windows® XP or Windows Server™ 2003/2008 system, use the
Windows Remote Desktop to connect to the remote system.
2. On the remote system, open the Windows® Add or Remove Programs interface (Windows
Server™ 2003) or Programs and Features (Windows Server™ 2008).
3. Select HP Insight Management Agents.
4. Click change/remove (Windows Server 2003), or right-click and select Uninstall (Windows
Server 2008).
5. At the prompt, click yes to confirm the removal of HP Insight Management Agents from
the system.
If the HP System Management Homepage is active in a browser window, close and reopen it to
ensure that it reflects the change.
