SmartSetup Scripting Toolkit Deployment Guide for HP Integrity Servers with Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 for Itanium-based Systems
Copy all files from contents\isp folder on the ISP installation CD to the windows\ISP\
2003-enterprise SSTK folder, the windows\ISP\2008-server SSTK folder, or both. You
can keep other versions of ISP in the SSTK repository, but only the files under ISP\
2003-enterprise or ISP\2008-server are installed on the target server. The SSTK ISP
installation scripts, Postinstall2003.cmd and Postinstall2008.cmd, are compatible
with ISP 6.1. If you want to install another version of the ISP, ensure these scripts call the correct
bundle file. For more information, see the ISP documentation.
Preparing for Windows 2003 Enterprise deployment
To prepare for Windows 2003 Enterprise deployment, follow these steps:
1. Upload the OEM device drivers
2. Modify the answer file
3. Edit the SSTKConfig.cmd file
Uploading OEM device drivers
By default, the SSTK repository contains folders for all supported storage and network models.
You need only provide OEM drivers that correspond to the target server hardware. HP
recommends you use the OEM drivers from the Integrity Support Pack (ISP) 6.1 CD during
Windows setup.
To upload the device drivers, follow these steps:
1. Identify the ISP 6.1 component (cpxxxx.exe) that corresponds to the target server hardware.
2. Extract the driver files from that component.
3. Copy all driver files from the previous step to the corresponding folders at
drivers\device\device model\windows\2003-enterprise as shown in Figure 3-3.
Be sure to copy the SYS, CAT, INF, and txtsetup.oem files.
