System Backplane
The SEU system backplane provides inter-connection between the PCI backplane and the core
I/O. The SEU backplane also provides a connection point for the E-link cables and routes the
E-link cable signals to and from the PCI backplane. The backplane receives primary (48 V) and
standby (12 V) power from the bulk power supplies and distributes this power to loads on the
SEU backplane and to the other boards connected to it. Besides providing interconnect, the SEU
backplane contains clock generation circuits and manageability circuits as well as other
miscellaneous circuits.
