Workaround Access the component versions manually, from the Support Pack, Smart Setup,
and by similar methods
Another solution is to use https://127.0.0.1:2381 instead of
https://localhost:2381.

System Management Homepage fails to open
Issue If Internet Explorer is configured to browse through a proxy server and the
Bypass proxy server for local addresses checkbox is not selected, attempting to
connect to the local SMH (https://localhost:2381) fails with a “page
cannot be displayed” error.
Workaround Configure Internet Explorer to bypass the proxy server for local addresses as
follows:
1. In IE, click
Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click the Connections tab.
3. Click the LAN Settings button.
4. Under “Proxy Server”, select the Bypass proxy server for local addresses
checkbox.
Another solution is to use https://127.0.0.1:2381 instead of
https://localhost:2381.

System Management Homepage may log errors to the Windows application event log
Issue If SMH is frequently installed and then uninstalled, or if the SMH service is
frequently stopped and then started again, the following error can be written to the
Windows application event log:
Faulting application smhstart.exe, version 2.0.0.103,
faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address
0x00000000.
Workaround In most cases SMH still works normally even after this message appears.
However, in rare cases when SMH terminates after this message, you should
uninstall SMH, remove the%Windisk%\hp\hpsmh folder, and reinstall SMH.
Version Control

Eight Smart components in the Smart Setup CD version 4.5 do not have version
control support.
Issue VCRM does not support these eight components:
1. HP Integrity Gigabit NC370 Series driver for Windows Server 2003 on
Itanium-based systems
2. Win/Linux 133MHz 10Gbe SR Fiber Adapter Driver
