11.5 HP StoreVirtual Storage Release Notes

A disassociated Active Directory user can still execute CLI commands
After a user is removed from an Active Directory group, the user can still successfully execute CLI
commands. To resolve this issue, perform one of the following actions:
Reboot the entire management group.
Create and run a script containing five getnsminfo commands from five different authorized
users on the storage system that the user is logged in to. This will flush the user out of the
cache.
You cannot use the CLI to delete an SNMP community string that has no IP mask
You cannot delete a community string using the CLI command deleteSnmpCommunityString
if the community string does not contain an IP mask. To resolve this issue, use one of the following
options:
Use the deleteSnmpCommunityString command and do not specify the IP Mask.
Use the ClearSnmpSettings command.
HP StoreVirtual Centralized Management Console
Changing the administrative user password does not log user out of the management group
Because of the password change, the management group should log the user out of the
management group. Because the logging out does not occur, events and alarms become
unavailable, email settings cannot be updated, and values in the performance dashboards are
displayed as N/A. To resolve this issue, close the CMC and reopen it.
The CMC displays an error message when changing settings in a management group or storage
system
When performing any operation that modifies settings for a storage system or a management
group in the CMC, the following message may display:
Unable to get email settings because of CIM or management gateway issue
Click OK to close the message. The operation you are performing will complete successfully.
New System Preferences window is missing the online help topic
The new System Preferences window has a help button that does not open a help topic. The topic
will be added in a future release. See the description of the System Preferences window under
Fixes (“System Preferences (page 7)).
A performance drop occurs when enabling Adaptive Optimization (AO) for a volume that was
originally created with AO not enabled
When you change AO to permitted for volumes for which AO was not permitted, there is a period
of time during which the performance will not be optimal, as the volume is being prepared for
use with AO.
Volume and snapshot status in a management group does not change to unavailable when the
evaluation period expires
When the evaluation license period for a management group expires, you will no longer have
access to volumes in the management group. However, the volume and snapshot status will still
display as online. The events for license expiration have changed to Warning (at 60 days) and
Critical (at 15 days) to notify you that the license is going to expire. To avoid losing access to
volumes, be sure to install a permanent license before the evaluation license expires.
