Procedures for upgrading
Use the following procedures to upgrade storage nodes to the release 8.5 SAN/iQ software. Review
Table 1 before starting the upgrade. Verify the LSMD Upgrade is installed before starting the upgrade
from 7.x to SAN/iQ 8.5.
• Download the upgrade components
• Increase OS disk size of VSAs and Failover Managers before upgrading the software.
• Upgrade software on storage nodes
• Verify management group version
• Run the 8.5 Service Console scheduled task
• Check for patches
