About this Manual...
This document describes how to configure and install highly available
SAP systems on Integrity Linux using Serviceguard. It refers to the HP
product T2392AA – Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Integrity Linux.
To get further information regarding SAP and High Availability in
general, please refer to the SAP documents:
SAP Web Application Server in Switchover Environments
SAP BC High Availability
To understand this document you have to have knowledge of the basic
Serviceguard concepts and commands. Experience in the Basis
Components of SAP will also be helpful.
This manual consists of three chapters:
Chapter 1, “Understanding the Serviceguard Extension for SAP on
Integrity Linux” describe Serviceguard Extension for SAP on
Integrity Linux (SGeSAP/LX IPF) concepts. It also explains the
current approach and why it was taken. It can be used like a FAQ
list. If you have technical questions about the installation, especially
during the scoping phase, refer to this section to get the information
you need.
Chapter 2, “Step by Step Installation of SGeSAP on Integrity Linux
for SAP WAS Central Instances” describes the installation of
SGeSAP on Integrity Linux step-by-step down to the Linux
command level.
