Firmware Downgrade
Downloading the configuration file
1. In the HP UPS Management Module web interface, click the Network tab.
2. Click Download Configuration File to save the config.bin file.
Downgrading the firmware
1. In the HP UPS Management Module Service Menu, go to the Module
Configuration menu, and then select the r option to enter the Restore
Configuration to Manufacturer Settings submenu.
2. Select BootP or set a static IP address.
3. Enter the following, case-sensitive commands at the command prompt:
a. GOMAC—Restores the MAC address of the module. The MAC
address is located on the front cover label.
b. GOSERNUM—Restores the PCA serial number of the module. The
PCA serial number is a 14-digit number beginning with the letter P
and located on the label inside the PCA.
c. GOHWVER—Restores the hardware version number of the module.
The current version is 1.00.A.
These hidden commands only work at the main terminal menu when
connected serially, and no characters are echoed to the screen.
The current password for these commands is HPUPSMM.
4. Save and exit.
5. To restore the configuration file, run the following command:
hpflash config config.bin [IP address] username
password
