Cloud bursting with HP CloudSystem Matrix infrastructure orchestration: Matrix-to-Matrix, HP Matrix KVM Private Cloud, HP Cloud Services, and Amazon EC2

Required cloud provider configuration
Obtain an account
Create, or use an existing, cloud provider account. You will need to specify associated user credentials when configuring cloud
capacity pools for the provider. For public cloud providers, use their web-based self-service user interfaces. For other providers,
contact the provider or system administrator. The following is a summary of the credential requirements for each provider:

Obtaining the secret access key
Perform the following steps for your cloud resource type.
Matrix-to-Matrix
The access key is the password for a user account on the target CloudSystem Matrix system. Contact the provider to obtain this
password.
HP Matrix KVM Private Cloud
The access key is the password for the Matrix KVM Private Cloud user account. Contact the person who issued the KVM cloud user
name to obtain this password.
HP Cloud Services
The secret access key for an HPCS account can be obtained by logging into the HP Cloud Services management console, clicking
API Keys for a particular availability zone, and then clicking SHOW in the Access Key section.
Amazon EC2
The secret access key for an EC2 account can be obtained by logging into the AWS console and performing the following steps:
1. Select the AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) service.
2. View the Users defined for the account.
3. Select the user that will be used by the capacity pool.
4. Select the User Action Manage Access Keys.
5. Use the Create Access Key button to create a new access key.
6. Click Show User Security Credentials to see and record the API Access Key and Secret Access Key.
Note: It is not possible to retrieve the Secret Access Key for a previously created API Access Key. If the Secret Access Key was not
recorded at creation time, a new API Access Key will need to be created.
Define key pairs
An RSA key pair is required for providers that support provisioning SSH access to servers.
The public key is stored at the cloud provider and is used to provision server instances.
The private key is downloaded to systems that will use SSH to access the servers.
One or more named key pairs must be registered in the provider account for this purpose. Most providers offer an interface that can
be used either to create a key pair or to upload the public key portion of an existing key pair.
CloudSystem uses a single key pair for all servers provisioned from a particular Cloud Resource. (The key pair is specified with the
default.keypair.name property in the capacity pool configuration described in the following sections.)
Note: Matrix-to-Matrix bursting does not require the definition of key pairs. For more information, see the "Access the cloud server"
section of this document.
