Dynamic test and development

teams continually request resources for their work.

sioning process that relies heavily on manual efforts

HP Insight Orchestration helps you overcome these
challenges. You can authorize test and development
specialists to request their own resources from your
self-service portal and its standard catalog of infra-
structure services. After making their requests, test
and development staff can use the self-service portal
to track the status of a resource request as it moves
through the approval and provisioning process. This
relieves your IT administrators of the need to continually
respond to questions on the status of resource requests.
Once a new service is ready to go into production,
HP Insight Orchestration makes it easy to repurpose
the test and development infrastructure for other uses.
You can support the same test and development work
with less infrastructure, reducing the cost of your test
infrastructure. You can quickly provision identical
infrastructure for production use—based on tested
templates. This helps you reduce the chance for errors
as new services move into production.
Standard service delivery
With HP Insight Orchestration, standard IT services
don’t have to be provisioned from scratch. Instead,
when you receive a request for resources, you can
select an appropriate standardized template from
your catalog of infrastructure services.
This capability makes it possible to quickly and consis-
tently deliver a standard infrastructure for a service to
one or multiple sites. Services become more consis-
tent throughout your enterprise. And you can deliver
services in less time, because a lot of the design and
provisioning work is already done for you. HP will
make sample templates available for key applications,
