and balance physical and virtual resources. It also

The Insight Dynamics – VSE software suite is integrated

of its parts. The software is based on proven HP tech-
nologies, such as HP Virtual Server Environment, HP
Insight Control, and HP Systems Insight Manager, the
world’s most popular platform management tool.
This software suite takes advantage of HP Virtual
Connect technology and the HP BladeSystem to bring
the flexibility of virtualization to a physical environ-
ment. It also leverages HP Server Migration software
for server migration capabilities across physical and
virtual resources, and can be extended with optional
HP Insight Orchestration for automated provisioning
and HP Insight Recovery for disaster recovery.

HP Insight Dynamics – VSE includes the industry’s
most advanced real-time capacity planning tools.
These tools allow you to continuously analyze server
capacity and power use on the basis of both real-
time and historical data. The software collects and
analyzes more than a thousand data points per server
per day from virtual and physical resources. This data
can be used to help detect systems that are either
over- or under-utilized and to provide a forecasting
mechanism based on an extrapolation of the data.
To aid this process, HP Insight Dynamics – VSE uses
innovative Smart Solver technology developed by HP
Labs. Smart Solver technology analyzes the historical
capacity data collected by Insight Dynamics – VSE,
including system resource and power consumption
HP Insight Dynamics – VSE makes it
quick and easy to simulate different
configuration or consolidation scenarios
that allow you to ask “what if?” questions
based on real data.
