Access the cloud server
Access the cloud server using SSH. The administrator must have previously created one or more named key pairs in
the cloud provider account.
The administrator gives the key pair, including the actual keys, to users who are authorized to provision resources
using the Cloud Resource. After provisioning a server, users can determine which Cloud Resource was used, and
specify the appropriate SSH key. Users can then log into the server and change the SSH keys to restrict access.
An administrator with cloud provider account credentials can optionally manage the server using the cloud provider
management console. To determine the server instance on the cloud provider console that corresponds to the created
service, on the infrastructure orchestration Console Services tab, select the created service and click Details.
On the Resource Details tab, the Deployed To value shows the capacity pool, which identifies the cloud provider if
more than one cloud provider is configured for use by CloudSystem. The Resource ID for the logical server includes
the server instance ID from the cloud provider. (Hover your mouse over the Resource ID to see truncated characters.)
The Resource ID matches the Instance ID shown on the cloud provider console (in this example, the AWS
Management Console).
Troubleshooting
Use the ioassist command line interface to verify the cloud configuration.
ioassist -c cloud_pools Verifies that the cloud capacity pools are specified correctly
ioassist -c cloud_images Verifies the cloud capacity pools are configured correctly and communication
with the cloud provider is successful
