Configuring HP Cloud Services or Amazon EC2 for cloud
bursting
Create an account
Create an account at HP Cloud Services or Amazon, or use an existing account. Security credentials associated with
this account (access key, secret access key, and, for HPCS, tenant name) will be used by CloudSystem.
Define key pairs
An RSA key pair is required for SSH access to cloud servers.
The public key is stored at the cloud provider and is injected into the server images.
The private key is downloaded to systems that will use SSH to access the servers.
A named key pair must be created in the HP Cloud Services or Amazon EC2 account for this purpose. CloudSystem
uses a single key pair for all servers provisioned from a particular Cloud Resource. (The key pair is specified with the
default.keypair.name property in the capacity pool configuration described in the following sections.)
See Accessing the cloud server from infrastructure orchestration for more information.
