b.  Adding a disk that contains an additional volume in SPE that reuses an existing, predefined multivolume SPE. 
Precondition: 
An unused volume is defined in the SPE. 
SAN storage is properly configured (disk carved, 
presented, and SAN zoned). 
Result: 
The VM hosts are not rebooted. 
The pre-presented volume is added to the IO service and 
configured as a data store. 
c.  Adding a disk in a predefined static SPE managed in HP Storage Provisioning Manager (SPM). 
Precondition: 
An unused volume is defined in the SPE. 
SAN storage is properly configured (disk carved and SAN 
zoned). 
Result: 
The VM hosts are not rebooted. 
The pre-carved volume is automatically presented by SPM to the 
VM host, added to the IO service, and configured as a data 
store. 
d.  Adding a disk by using an automatically generated SPM (HP Matrix Operating Environment 7.1 and later). 
Precondition: 
An IO system (IO template, SPM, and LSM) is configured for
autocarving. 
Result: 
The VM hosts are not rebooted. 
The new volume is added as a data store. 
Delete a service 
Precondition: 
The VM hosts must have no guest VMs defined; otherwise, the
request will fail. 
Result: 
All the VM hosts are deleted and the storage is released. 
The blades remain available to IO.
