Upgrading Logical Servers from HP Insight Dynamics - VSE for ProLiant Version 4.0 to 4.1

To build a quick list of just the logical servers in your environment, capture the output from the
following two c
ommands entered at the command prompt:
mxcollection –lf “Active Logical Servers”
mxcollection –lf “Inactive Logical Servers”
These commands output an xml file. The xml file does not show the hosts, but if your
environment has many logical servers, using these commands is a quick way to obtain the
information for your inventory file.
After Upgrading ID-VSE
At the completion of the upgrade process, pointers to any encountered issues are displayed on
the installation summary screen.
For further verification, you can check the vseinitconfig.log file located in
HP SIM-install-directory\Virtual Server Environment\logs\vseinitconfig.log
If the upgrade succeeded without problems, the following is displayed:
