Upgrading Logical Servers from HP Insight Dynamics - VSE for ProLiant Version 4.0 to 4.1

After reconfiguring your host, if the logical server is still not activated, delete the logical server
and select the Recoverable Logical Server Definition Deletion option, then reimport it. See
the following section for more information.
Reimporting a Logical Server
If the steps in the preceding section do not reset your logical server, and your logical server has
an installed operating system, try reimporting the logical server.
From HP SIM, select VSE Management from the Tools menu, and view the Logical Server
perspective. Select the logical server by checking the check box in its upper left corner, then
delete the logical server using the Delete -> Delete Logical Server... menu selection.
Select the Recoverable Logical Server Definition Deletion option, then click Delete.

After the deletion completes, import the logical server. From the Physical and Virtual
perspe
ctive, select the logical server, then select Tools -> Logical Servers -> Import, and
complete the import.
Upgrading a Japanese CMS from ID-VSE 4.0 to 4.1
If you are upgrading a Japanese CMS from ID-VSE 4.0 to 4.1, the collections of active and
inactive logical servers are shown in both Japanese and English. You can safely ignore these
extra collections.
Ease of Use Features for Logical Servers in ID-VSE 4.1
A number of new features have been added to ID-VSE 4.1 to make the administration of logical
servers more intuitive and straightforward.
