The Advanced playback settings tab appears:
5. Under Protocols, HTTP should be checked by default. Choose Use proxy and click Configure Proxy
Settings.
A smaller sub-tab appears:
6. In the Name text field, type the Fully Qualified Domain Name of the proxy host you wish to use (for
example: www.anotherproxy.com). Normally you should not change what is in the Port field unless
you are a system administrator. Click OK.
7. The sub-tab disappears. Click Okay in the Advanced playback settings tab.
To configure Windows Media Player 7 to use a proxy for HTTP:
Because of a bug in Windows Media Player 7, you must use both Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer
to make the configuration work.
