Continentalclusters uses the opcmsg command that is shipped as part of HP
Operations Agent to send OPC notifications.
Security infrastructure
Continentalclusters for Linux B.12.00.00 uses a secure infrastructure. The following components
are used in this product:
• Continentalclusters User and Group
Continentalclusters uses Secure Shell (SSH) for all inter-cluster and node communication. A
special Continentalclusters user, conclusr and group, conclgrp are used for all communication
over SSH. This Continentalclusters user and the group are automatically created when
Continentalclusters for Linux is installed on a node. You must specify a password for this user
on all nodes in the primary and recovery clusters. When a node is no longer part of
Continentalclusters configuration, remove this user from the node.
• Continentalclusters Configuration Package
Continentalclusters for Linux version B.12.00.00 stores configuration information in a special
package on the primary and recovery clusters. This package is named ccconfpkg and is
automatically created on the primary and recovery clusters when a Continentalclusters for
Linux configuration file is applied using the cmapplyconcl command.
This package is deleted on all clusters when the Continentalclusters configuration is removed
using the cmdeleteconcl command.
IMPORTANT: Do not modify, delete, start, or stop this package using Serviceguard
commands.
Support for modular packages
Continentalclusters for Linux supports only modular style packages to be configured in a recovery
group. The monitor package on the recovery cluster must be configured as a modular package
using the Continentalclusters supplied modular configuration file template. Other packages in the
primary and recovery cluster which are configured in a recovery group as PRIMARY_PACKAGE,
RECOVERY_PACKAGE, REHEARSAL_PACKAGE, DATA_SENDER or DATA_RECEIVER package
must also be configured as modular packages using the Serviceguard supported modules.
When using any of the pre-integrated physical replication such as Continuous Access XP, Continuous
Access EVA or 3PAR Remote Copy modular packages configured as primary or recovery packages
must include the appropriate replication specific module for the Continentalclusters for Linux
environment.
