• Updating the operating system
• Updating switch firmware
• Updating HBA firmware
• Upd ating SCSI hard drive firmware
• Updating multipathing software

Updating the operating system
Obtain the nee ded files and installation instructions from the operating system vendor web site or the
HP IT Resource Center web site: h

CAUTION:
Operating system updates require one or more system restarts and should be performed during
scheduled m
aintenance time.
Updating switch firmware
Obtain the needed files and installation instructions from the switch vendor or HP SAN Infrastructure
