to a command from the library.
Reset the device and retry the operation.
Update the Library rmware to the latest version.
If power-cycling does not resolve the issue, contact
HP support.

Network initialization failed.
Check the Ethernet cable.
Check that the network c onguration is correct.
If DHCP is enabled, ensure that a DHCP server is up
and running on the Library’s network.
Power-cycle the device and try again.
C1
Telnet interface initialization failed.

Web server initialization failed.

Ping comm
and did not reach
target.

Check that the network c onguration is correct.
Power-cycle the device and try again.

Cannot upgrade rmware from
USB.
Retry the rmware upgrade. If unsuccessful, attempt
to upgrade rmware with another upgrade method,
such as the RMI or L&TT.

Check to see if the fan on the drive sled is
operational and not obstructed. The error sub-code
00 indicates drive 1, sub-code 01 indicates drive
2, and so on.

Power-cycle the device.
On the MSL4048, power down the Library and
re-seat the library controller.

Drive over temperature condition.
Check the ambient temperature to ensure that it is
within operating specications.
Check all fans to determine whether they are
working properly .

Drive sled not present.
Power-cycle the Librar y and try the operation aga in.
Re-seat the drive to ensure a good connection to
the Library.

Drive has run into a time-out while
loading a tape.
Check that the tape cartridge is supported and has
not exceeded its usage life. Inspect it for damage.
Retry the operation.
Clean the drive. The error sub-cod e 00 indicates
drive 1, sub-code 01 indicates drive 2, and so on.

Drive has run into a time-out while
unloading a tape.
Retry the operation.
Attempt the force tape eject process. Once the tape
cartridge is ejected, unlock the magazine holding
the cartridge and inspect the cartridge for damage.
Discard the tape cartridge if it is damaged.
