Description This release includes updated tape drive firmware for Ultrium 1840 full-height parallel SCSI and Fibre Channel HP StorageWorks MSL2024, MSL4048, and MSL8096 Tape Libraries. The tape drive firmware can be updated through any of the following methods: Update recommendation Supersedes Recommended All earlier versions of tape drive firmware.

Read/space issues Read hang if drive error occurs when searching for End Of Record (EOR) Previously if a drive encounters an error condition having previously encountered an over-length record, the host interface will hang. The Host Interface state machine has been modified to deal with this situation, and ensure that it will respond with an error if it encounters an unknown event combination in future.
