Description
This release includes updated tape drive firmware for Fibre Channel HP Storage Works MSL2024,
MSL4048, and MSL8096 Tape Libraries.

Enhancements
• Implements T10 standards that allow the Library to control encryption of the tape drive.
• A new diagnostic page (C3h) has been created to repor t algorithm versions used by the tape
drive for FIPS certification.
• Provides a TapeAlert notification when a tape that h as been used over its usage limit is
experiencing above normal levels of going off track. In the Library, this will appear as warning
event 84. When you see this warning, replace the tape cartridge.
• Adds the firmware trace logs to the snapshot logs and new commands to the firmware debug
command set, which makes it easier to debug field failures.
