Description This release includes updated firmware for the HP StorageWorks MSL2024 Tape Library. The Library firmware can be updated through any of the following methods: • Remote management interface (RMI). • Operator control panel (OCP). • HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT). Library firmware version • 4.00 Update recommendation Recommended Supersedes All earlier versions of Library firmware. Product models All HP StorageWorks MSL2024 Tape Libraries.
• The Library temperature is now reported on LOG SENSE page 0x0D. • Fixed a case where the Library could not detect when the mailslot was closed very quickly. Installation instructions To upgrade firmware from the RMI: 1. Download current firmware using HP Library & Tape Tools or from the HP support website: http://www.hp.com/support/storage. 2. Log into the RMI as the administrator user. 3. In the Support: Firmware page, browse to the location of the Library firmware file. 4. Click Update.
