MSL LTO6 firmware release notes (AK378-96067, June 2013)

Description
This release includes updated tape drive firmware for Ultrium 6250 tape drives in HP StoreEver 1/8
G2 Tape Autoloaders and MSL2024, MSL4048, MSL6480, MSL8048, and MSL8096 Tape Libraries.
The tape drive firmware can be updated through any of the following methods:
Remote management interface (RMI).
Operator control panel (OCP), except MSL6480.
HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT).
Tape drive firmware versions: 238W (FC) and 338W (SAS)

Enhancements
Improved servo calibration and positioning routines.
Enhanced internal drive logging.
Improved accuracy of the internal media positioning operations.
The drive will now request a cleaning tape and report associated tape alerts if a 0x7519 write
error is encountered.
Fixes
Fixed a corner case issue that could result in spacing and locating errors 0x5090/0x5092.
Fixed a corner case where the drive could reset during a load.
Fixed a case where writing partitioned tapes can result in 0x5092 errors being reported on
subsequent reads.
Fixed a case where the drive could reset after failing to update the cartridge memory due to other
internal firmware processes.
Fixed a case where a multi-partitioned cartridge was reported as having a single partition.
Fixed a corner case where a drive firmware upgrade failed with a 0x1C2B error after loading
a cleaning cartridge.
Fixed load count reporting for cleaning cartridges.
