Usage guidelines
This command enables you to audit the content of all incoming short messages from an NMS, including
the configuration deployed through SMS.
This command is not supported on SIC-4G-LTE modem embedded routers.
Examples
# Disable the SNMP trap for incoming short messages.
[Sysname] undo snmp trap enable sms
standby rssi
Use standby rssi to enable RSSI-based interface backup.
Use undo standby rssi to restore the default.
Syntax
standby rssi rssi-threshold interface interface-type interface-number [ delay delay-time ]
undo standby rssi
Default
RSSI-based interface backup is disabled.
Views
Cellular interface view, cellular Ethernet interface view
Default command level
2: System level
Parameters
rssi-threshold: Specifies the RSSI threshold value for the main interface, in dBm, in the range of –150 to
–70.
interface-type interface-number: Specifies a backup interface by its type and number.
delay-time: Delay time after which the system takes corresponding actions when detecting the RSSI of the
main interface exceeds the RSSI threshold, in the range of 10 to 600 seconds. The default is 30 seconds.
Usage guidelines
This command only takes effect on cellular interfaces and cellular Ethernet interfaces.
When this command is enabled, the system waits for the delay time after it detects the RSSI of the main
interface falls below the threshold and the RSSI of the backup interface exceeds the threshold. When the
delay time is reached, the system disables the main interface from dialing up and transmitting data. The
backup interface takes over. When the system detects that the RSSI of the main interface exceeds the
threshold, the system switches dial-up and data transmission to the main interface after the delay time.
If the wireless network to which the cellular interface or cellular Ethernet interface is unavailable, the
system considers the RSSI as –150dBm.
Examples
# Enable RSSI-based interface backup on Cellular 1/0. Set the RSSI threshold of the main interface to
–95 dBm, the delay time to 50 seconds. Specify Cellular 2/0 as the backup interface.
<Sysname> system
[Sysname] interface cellular 1/0
