Interface Link Protocol Main IP Description
analogmodem2/0 DOWN DOWN -- The interface for Analog Modem.
Table 11 Command output
Field Description
Analogmodem2/0 current state
Physical state of the AM interface:
• DOWN (Administratively)—The AM interface has been shut
down with the shutdown command.
• DOWN—The AM interface is physically down because no
physical link is present or the physical link has failed.
• UP—The AM interface is both administratively and physically
up.
Line protocol current state Link protocol state of the interface.
Description Description of the interface.
The Maximum Transmit Unit is 1500,
Hold timer is 10(sec)
Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) of the AM interface. The MTU
defaults to 1500 bytes, and a packet larger than the MTU is
fragmented before it is sent. If fragmentation is not allowed, the
packet will be dropped.
Hold timer refers to the lifetime of a packet in a network. It is the
maximum amount of time that a packet can exist in the network
before being dropped. The hold timer of packets on the AM
interface is set to 10 seconds.
Internet Address is 6.6.5.5/24 Primary IP address of the AM interface.
Link layer protocol is PPP Link layer protocol of the AM interface.
